Dorothy M. (Schroeder) Wolfe

Dorothy M. Wolfe, 94, of Rolling Prairie, Indiana passed away Monday, May 31, 2021. She was born on October 23, 1926, in La Porte, Indiana to Martin F. and Gertrude D. (Nebelung) Schroeder.

Dorothy was a homemaker. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in La Porte, The Ladies Aid, Circle 8, and Altar Guild all with St. John’s Lutheran Church. She graduated from Rolling Prairie High School in 1944, where she was a member of the 44 Club of Rolling Prairie High School.

On October 19, 1946, in La Porte, Indiana, Dorothy married Calvin E. Wolfe who preceded her in death on May 26, 2007. Dorothy is survived by her children, Linda (Albert) Vollmer of Rolling Prairie, Larry (Cathy) Wolfe of Tipton, Indiana, Ronald (Teena) Wolfe of Rolling Prairie; five grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; a brother, Milton Schroeder of Rolling Prairie; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brothers, Wilbur, Martin, Wesley, Robert, Howard, Harold, Ervin, and Charles Schroeder.

Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, June 5, 2021, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 111 Kingsbury Avenue, La Porte, Indiana. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday following the visitation in the church. Rev. Dr. Kendall Schaeffer will officiate. (Note, all time are C.S.T.) Burial will be at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery.
