Doreen A. (Mizia) Webb

Doreen A. Webb, 69, of Westville, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 1, 2026.

She was born on October 31, 1956, in La Porte, Indiana, to the late Damian and Claira (Lisek) Mizia.

Doreen was a proud graduate of Ball State University, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising. She later received her Teaching Certificate from Purdue University and dedicated her career to teaching in the Lake Central School System at Peifer Elementary, where she touched the lives of many students through her care and commitment.

On July 27, 1991, Doreen married the love of her life, Thomas Webb, whom she met during their junior year at Ball State University. He survives, along with her sister-in-law, Diane Mizia of La Porte, and her beloved niece and nephew, Matthew and Meghan Mizia.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Alan and Randy Mizia.

Doreen grew up in La Porte and attended Sacred Heart Grade School and Church. She was a devoted member of St. Patrick’s Parish in Chesterton. Doreen and Tom shared a deep love of travel, especially visits to National Parks, where they enjoyed nature, hiking, and quiet time together—often without a television in sight. They were also devoted to their three beloved Keeshonds, Keesha, Nanook, and Seger.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 20, 2026, at Holy Family Parish, Sacred Heart Church, 201 S. Bach Street, La Porte, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Indiana Donor Network.
