Donna M. (Tait) Satkoski

Donna M. Satkoski, 87 of La Porte, Indiana passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2024.

She was born on July 8, 1937 in Duluth, Minnesota to the late Robert and Grace (Rogers) Tait.

Donna worked for many years as a Registered Nurse. She loved gardening, needlework and books. She was a long-time member of Holy Family Parish, St. Peter Church in La Porte, where she taught Catholic education classes and served on several committees.

On August 26, 1961, Donna married Robert Satkoski who survives with their children, Mary (Shawn) Spickard of Hamlet, Indiana, Elizabeth Satkoski of Grand Rapids, Michigan; a daughter-in-law, Erika Satkoski of Arroyo Grande, California; grandchildren, Anneliese, Alissa (Josh), Grace, Ron, Jon, Jake; and great grandchildren, Akira, Aya, Briana, Colton, April, and Ariana. She is predeceased by her son, James Satkoski.

Visitation will be held from 4-7 PM Monday, December 16, 2024, at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana.  A Nursing Honor Guard Service will be at 6:30 PM followed by a Prayer Vigil at 6:45 PM. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11AM on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at Holy Family Parish, St. Peter Church, 1101 Michigan Avenue, La Porte, Indiana.

Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in La Porte.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Shirley Heinze Land Trust for the preservation of the natural areas of Northwest Indiana.
