Donald J. Kabacinski

Donald J. Kabacinski, 86, of La Porte, Indiana passed away Monday, August 8, 2022. He was born on May 27, 1936, in Indianapolis. His parents are the late Bernard and Lillian Kabacinski. 

Don served his country in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. He became a Barber in Michigan City after the service. He then became a salesman for Pepsi for over 30 years, retiring in 1991. After retiring from Pepsi he was a receiving clerk with Al’s Supermarket for a number of years. He was a member of Holy Family Parish, Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the St. Joseph Young Men’s Society in Michigan City. He was hard working and loved his family.

On October 5, 1957, Don married Diana Burdick who survives with their children, Juli (Rick) Gourley, Steven (Mary) Kabacinski, Donna Parker, Lori (Michael) Williams, James (Karen) Kabacinski, Michael Kabacinski, and Mark (Shari) Kabacinski all of La Porte; 14 grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren. 

Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, August 11, 2022, at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, August 12, 2022, at Holy Family Parish, Sacred Heart Church, 201 Bach Street, La Porte, Indiana. Family and friends may gather at 9 a.m. Friday in the funeral home.
