Deidre A. (Hertzberg) Crail

Deidre A. Crail, 65, of Rolling Prairie, Indiana passed away Sunday, February 26, 2023. She was born on December 7, 1957 in La Porte to the late Donald A. (Doris) Hertzberg and Doreen (O’Connell) Hertzberg. 

Deidre taught special education for 34 years in the Michigan City School Corporation. She was a member of I.S.T.A., Holy Family Parish, St. Joseph Church, and enjoyed golf, having made a hole-in-one. 

On June 12, 1982, Deidre married Robert M. Crail who survives with their children, Chris (Stacey) Crail of Rolling Prairie, Michael Crail of Rolling Prairie; grandchildren, Taylor, Nolan, Ian, Natalie, Noah, and Ian; and siblings, David Hertzberg of Hawaii, Donald A. Hertzberg Jr of La Porte, Dennis (Anne) Hertzberg of Lake Toxaway, North Carolina, Diane Schultz of Westfield, Indiana; and numerous nieces and nephews. A brother, Dan Hertzberg preceded her in death.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Friday, March 3, 2023, at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, March 3, 2023, at Holy Family Parish, St. Joseph Church, 109 C. Street, La Porte, Indiana.
