David K. Zook

David K. Zook, 69, of La Porte, Indiana passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2024 in his home surrounded by his family.

David was born on March 18, 1955, in La Porte to the late Keith and Viola (Brown) Zook.

He graduated from La Porte High School in the class of 1973 and then attended Purdue North Central for two years.

David had been a printer with Hawkins Print Shop in La Porte for many years. He enjoyed building models of WWII Navy ships and Army Infantry locations. He was an avid Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and Star Wars book reader. He collected WWII books and knew just about everything relating to WWII.

David is survived by a sister, Theresa Frazier of La Porte; nieces and nephews, Will Frazier of La Porte, Christopher (Amy) Frazier of La Porte, Jennifer (Paul) Renfro of Rolling Prairie, Kari Terzino of Chicago, and Angie Harness of Arizona; a brother-in-law, Rob Harness of Arizona; and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Kathy Harness.

A Celebration of David’s life will be held from 2-4 PM Sunday, November 24, 2024, at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana.

Private burial will take place at Pine Lake Cemetery.
