David Louis Stoewer

David Louis Stoewer, 75, of La Porte, Indiana passed away Monday, November 21, 2022.

David was born December 31, 1946, in La Porte, Indiana to the late Louis and Hermanie (Connor) Stoewer. On May 18, 1968 David married Sheila Young who preceded him in death on March 7, 2022.

David retired in 2009 from Von Tobel Lumber where he was a kitchen designer. He enjoyed doing yard work, going to Corvette car shows and he was a NASCAR fan.

David is survived by his daughter, Dana Stoewer of La Porte, Indiana; his son, Michael (Crystal) Stoewer of North Port, Florida; four grandchildren, Morgan Livinghouse, Madeline Livinghouse, Pace Stoewer, and Blaise Stoewer. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Sheila, and a sister, Diane Juneau. 

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday, November 28, 2022, at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana. A memorial service will follow the visitation at 11 a.m. with Reverend Donald Bayne officiating. Burial will be at Patton Cemetery.
