Darla Jane (Mann) Belzowski

Darla Jane Belzowski, 73, of La Porte, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 28, 2026.

She was born on December 4, 1952. Darla devoted many years to working as a bookkeeper for her husband’s business, Mike’s Small Engine Service, as well as with the U.S. Directories phone book company. She was known for her caring nature, love for her family, and dedication to those around her.

On December 4, 2001, Darla married Michael E. Belzowski, who preceded her in death on April 26, 2025. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Michael (Nora) Belzowski of La Porte, Michelle (Jason) Danks of Catoosa, and Melissa (Jason) Speakman of La Porte; her beloved grandchildren, Taylor Belzowski, Caden Wiatrowski, Madison Cozmanoff, Mira Belzowski, and Eziekel Belzowski; her great-grandson, Dakota; and her brothers, David (Jane) Mann, Dennis (Beth) Mann, and Daryl (Melanie) Mann.

Darla found joy in caring for animals, tending to her garden, and canning.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, June 4, 2026, at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel.

A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home, with burial afterward at Pine Lake Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Michiana Humane Society or the Jane Bernard Animal Adoption Center.
