Daniel James Skibinski, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2025, at Trail Creek Place in Michigan City, Indiana. Born on October 12, 1960, in Michigan City, Indiana, to the late Eugene and Alice (Losiniecki) Skibinski, Daniel's warmth and jovial spirit were a gift to all who knew him.
A proud graduate of Michigan City Rogers High School's class of 1979, Daniel carried the values of hard work and dedication throughout his life. He found his calling as a delivery driver with Scholl Dairy, a role he performed with unwavering commitment for many years. Known to many as the "Milkman," Daniel's friendly demeanor and kind heart made him a beloved figure on his delivery routes.
On February 25, 1984, Daniel married the love of his life, Kenda Hahn, and together they built a family grounded in love and laughter. Daniel's legacy continues through his devoted wife, Kenda, and their children: Jacob (Kristin) Skibinski of Michigan City, Indiana, Gina (Brian) Colburn of La Porte, Indiana, and Nicole (Hunter) Moldenhauer of La Porte, Indiana. His joy was multiplied with the arrival of each of his grandchildren: Landon, Sebastian, Cooper, Megan, Emma, and Camryn, who will remember their grandfather as a beacon of light and laughter.
Daniel's life was one of connection and community, as evidenced by his close-knit family, including his siblings: Sue (Ken) Firanek, Debbie (Gordon) Pytynia, and John (Becky) Skibinski, all of Michigan City, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his brother, Eugene Skibinski, but the bond they shared continues to live on in the stories and memories cherished by the family.
A true family man, Daniel's greatest pleasure was spending time with his loved ones. Whether he was playing golf, watching sports, or simply sharing a meal, his presence was a source of joy and comfort. His sense of humor was unmatched; he was a jokester at heart, always ready with a quip or a playful tease that would leave everyone around him smiling.
Daniel James Skibinski's life was a testament to the beauty of everyday moments and the enduring power of a kind soul. As we celebrate his life and mourn his passing, we hold tight to the memories that remind us of the good he brought into the world. His spirit will forever be a guiding light for his family, a reminder to embrace life with a smile, and to spread kindness wherever we go.
