Cynthia L. "Cindi" Bennett-Mark, a beacon of love and kindness, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2024, in Mishawaka, Indiana, at the age of 71. Born on December 27, 1952, in South Bend, Indiana, Cindi was the cherished daughter of the late William Harris and Geraldine (Moss) Bennett. Her warm presence and friendly demeanor touched the lives of all who knew her. Cindi grew up in South Bend, where she attended Riley High School and graduated with the class of 1971. Her youthful spirit and infectious smile were a joy to behold, and she carried these traits with her throughout her life. After completing her education, Cindi dedicated many years of service as a receptionist at Elkhart Brass, where her welcoming voice and helpful nature were appreciated by colleagues and clients alike. In her personal life, Cindi was a devoted partner to Paul Byers of South Bend, Indiana. Together, they shared a life filled with love, laughter, and mutual respect. Cindi was a loving mother to her sons, Brian (Debbie) Mark of Mishawaka and Kevin Mark of South Bend. She took immense pride in her role as a grandmother to Ashton, Brendon, Brent, Ayden, Alidiah, and Alayiah, imparting wisdom and creating cherished memories that will live on in their hearts. Cindi is survived by her partner, sons, grandchildren, and her brother, Tim (Alice) Bennett of South Bend, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her brother, William H. Bennett II, whose memory she held dear. Beyond her family life, Cindi was an active member of the Diloreto Club in Mishawaka, where she enjoyed the camaraderie and community spirit. A passionate fan of Notre Dame Football, she never missed a game and could often be found cheering on her beloved team with enthusiasm and pride. Those who knew Cindi would describe her as loving, kind, and friendly. She had the rare ability to make everyone feel at home, whether they were long-time friends or new acquaintances. Her generosity of spirit and genuine concern for others made her a cherished friend and confidant to many. As we say goodbye to Cindi, we celebrate the life of a woman who was truly one of a kind.
