In 1991, the Schwark’s moved back to LaPorte where Chuck began working with his father-in-law at H&G Plumbing & Heating. In 1998, Chuck purchased the plumbing company and later in 2002 expanded his business to include H&G Underground Utilities.
In his spare time, Chuck enjoyed traveling by motorcycle and motorcoach with his wife across the US. He also loved to play golf. Chuck obtained his pilot’s license later in life and loved spending time flying. He never knew a stranger and would strike up a conversation with anyone he met. Always one to enjoy good fellowship with his friends, Chuck enjoyed cooking his “World’s Famous Chicken Wings” for parties he hosted for his friends and family. He was also a longtime member of the American Legion and Moose Lodge in LaPorte.
Most of all, Chuck will be remembered as a hardworking and fun-loving husband, father, grandpa and friend whose priorities were his family and serving his community with honesty and integrity.
