Charles F. Dickman, 88, of La Porte, Indiana passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2019.
Charles was born December 12, 1930 in Chicago, Illinois the loving son of Charles F. and Ella (Hartley) Dickman.
Devoted husband to Delores nee Hoppe for almost 44 years. Beloved father to, David (the late Rose) Dickman of Virginia, Mark (Carlene) Dickman of Lemont, Illinois, and Doug (Jean) Koffinke of Spokane, Washington; and a daughter, Lisa Koffinke of Clarendon Hills, Illinois; cherished grandfather of, Justin, Lauryn, Tyler, Megan and Lucy; fond brother to, Bill (Valerie) Dickman of Illinois and Roger (the late Bonnie) Dickman of Chicago, Illinois; loving uncle to many nieces and nephews; and loved by many great friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Janice Miller Dickman; two sisters, Loretta Pavlik and Helen Joyce; and a brother, Walter Dickman.
Charles was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in La Porte and served his country proudly in the United States Marine Corps. Chuck will always be remembered for his love of company, welcoming all to his home, helping his "Queenie" clean the house and tending to his lawn and garden.
Visitation will be from 11-1 p.m. Saturday, April 27, 2019 at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana. Funeral services will immediately follow visitation at 1 p.m. in the funeral home. Pastor Ronald Brauer will officiate. Inurnment will be at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, Illinois.
