Charles P. "Chuck" Borst

Charles P. “Chuck” Borst, 69, of LaPorte, Indiana passed away at Northwest Health Hospital, Portage Campus on May 19, 2021.  Chuck was born February 18, 1952, and was a lifelong resident of LaPorte. Following high school, Chuck attended Purdue University and was later employed for many years as an administrator for the Westville Correctional Facility in Westville, Indiana. 

Chuck was preceded in death by his parents Robert L. and Marion (Bach) Borst.  He was a loving and dedicated son to them. 

He was a longtime member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.  In his spare time, Chuck enjoyed fishing and collecting unique fishing lures, along with other collectible items. 

Chuck was a thoughtful and kind man who showed compassion to those in need.  His friendship and loyalty to those he knew will be greatly missed. 

Visitation will be held from 5-7 pm Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at Frank Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana and a graveside service will be held at 10 am Thursday, May 27, 2021, at Greenwood Cemetery in Michigan City where he will be laid to rest next to his parents.  Please arrive at the cemetery by 9:45 am for the graveside service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Knights of Columbus, St. Michael Council #1542, 412 Lincolnway, LaPorte, Indiana 46350.
