C.T.R.C. Thomas Michael Travis (Retired U.S. Navy)

C.T.R.C. Thomas Michael Travis (Retired U.S. Navy), 74, of La Porte, Indiana passed away Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at his home surrounded by his loving family. 

Tom was born on June 8, 1949, in La Porte, Indiana to Robert and Mary Ann (Sudrovech) Travis. On July 20, 1985, he married Maureen Flynn who survives with their daughter, Brianne Travis of La Porte.  He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Barbara (Travis) Gullans, Mark Travis, infant, Charlie Travis; and nieces, Shannon Flynn and Colleen Dornburg. He will be missed by his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. 

Tom served his country for 22 ½ years in the U.S. Navy as a Cryptologist. After the Navy he drove a bus for the La Porte School Corporation for 25 years. He was a member of Holy Family Parish, the Hoosier Valley Railroad Museum, and a Ham Radio Operator, “WA9NGO.”

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Sunday, November 26, 2023, at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana. 

Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, November 27, 2023, at the Funeral Home, with Reverend Nate Edquist officiating.  Military Honors will follow.
