Bradley Bennington Obituary

Bradley Scott Bennington, known affectionately as Brad to his friends and family, passed away peacefully on May 20th, 2024, in La Porte, Indiana. Born on February 10, 1993, in Valparaiso, Indiana, Brad was the cherished son of Brandi Sharp and Ryan Bennington. His early years were spent in the warmth of a loving family, and he carried that love throughout his life, spreading joy and laughter wherever he went.

Brad was a Steel Machine Operator with American RENOLIT Corporation in La Porte, Indiana.

Brad's greatest joy and most profound pride were found in his family. A devoted husband to his wife, Shelby, and a proud father to his son, Jaxson, Brad's love for his family was the cornerstone of his life. His relationship with his son was a beautiful testament to the kind of father he was—involved, caring, and always present. He also shared a special bond with his nephews, Jayden and Brody, who looked up to him as a second father, a role he embraced with open arms and a full heart.

Brad's one-of-a-kind personality left an indelible mark on everyone he met. His sense of humor was infectious, and his ability to make others laugh was one of his most endearing qualities. He was the life of the party, always ready with a joke or a funny story to lighten the mood. Brad's friendly and kind nature made him a beloved figure in his community and among his extensive circle of friends and family.

An avid football and UFC fan, Brad enjoyed the thrill of the game and the excitement of competition. He found solace and joy in fishing, often spending peaceful hours by the water with a rod in hand. Video games provided another avenue for Brad to unwind and engage with friends, while his adventurous palate meant he was always eager to try new foods. Family cookouts were a favorite occasion for Brad, where he could combine his love for good food, great company, and hearty laughter.

Brad is lovingly remembered by his wife, Shelby, and their son, Jaxson. His legacy continues through his mother, Brandi Sharp and stepfather, Chip Sharp; his father, Ryan Bennington and stepmother, Julie Bennington; and mother-in-law, Lisa Wilke. His brother-in-laws, Kody Wilke (Brooke) and Christopher Wilke; his sisters, Ellie Lemmon and Arielle Felty (Jake); and grandparents, Jeanne Moser, Dave Moser, and William Bennington, will hold dear the memories of Brad's kindness and humor. A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, friends, and cousins also survive him, each carrying a piece of Brad's friendly spirit with them.

Brad was preceded in death by his grandmother, Brenda Bennington; great-grandmother, Evelyn Denison; father-in-law, Kevin Wilke; brother-in-law, Jason Jackman; and Aunt Rosie Huddleston. Each of these individuals held a special place in Brad's heart, and their influence on his life was profound.

Brad's departure from this world leaves a void that cannot be filled, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. His laughter, his kindness, and his unwavering dedication to his family will be remembered and cherished forever. Brad's life, though too short, was a life well-lived, full of love, laughter, and the joy of simple pleasures.
