Betsy Yvonne (Romans) Quire

Betsy Yvonne Quire (Romans), a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 2, 2025, at the age of 73 in La Porte, Indiana.

Born on October 24, 1951, in Bowling Green, Kentucky, Betsy was a feisty woman full of love and laughter.

Betsy's life was marked by her passion for life, family and her animals. She pursued a career in nursing, becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). Her dedication to her patients was unmatched. She brought them joy and laughter while in her care. She affected many lives over the years working in various skilled nursing units. Betsy's dedication to her profession was only matched by her devotion to God, and her family which was her greatest pride and joy.

Betsy's heart was full of love that she poured out to those she loved. She was a loving mother to her daughter, Geneva Kuprion, Johnny Maglio (Son in-law), of La Porte, and her son, Nicky Quire and his wife Heather. Her legacy of love continues through her cherished grandchildren, Natalie Kuprion, Malorie Hughes, Lana Williams, and Samantha Quire, and her adored great-grandson, Ethan. Betsy also held a special place in her heart for her daughter-in-law, Kelly Maglio.

The bonds of siblinghood were deeply important to Betsy. She is survived by her siblings, Carmin Glover (Kenny), Chris Romans (Linda) and Pam Gosewehr. Her life was enriched by their shared memories and unwavering support. Betsy was preceded in death by her Son, Robert Kuprion, her beloved parents, Curtis Romans and Joy Colburn, her dear husband, Ronald Quire, and her siblings Barbara Daugherty and Harry Romans.

Betsy's interests were simple yet profound. She enjoyed her family more than anything else in the world. The time spent with her loved ones, whether it was a quiet afternoon or a lively family gathering, was where she found her greatest happiness. Her laughter and warmth filled the room, creating cherished memories that her family will hold close to their hearts forever.

Cremation has taken place with Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel in La Porte, Indiana.
