Bessie M. (Crk) Biehl

Bessie M. Biehl, 102, of La Porte, Indiana passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2022.

Bessie was born October 29, 1919, in Brookhaven, Mississippi, to the late Frank and Anna (Vorlicek) Crk. She married Bevington S. Biehl who preceded her in death on March 14, 1980.

Bessie is survived by many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews, all dear to her. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bevington; sisters, Mildred King, Jeanette Juranek, and three infant sisters; and brothers, Laddie, Jerry, and George Crk. 

Bessie worked as an Ordnance secretary at the Kingsbury Ordnance Plant, a timekeeper at Allis Chalmers, and retired from the Whirlpool Corp., in 1991.

She belonged to People to People International, and Delta Theta Tau Sorority. Her main hobby was traveling. She went to Europe twice, on a Caribbean cruise, and Hawaii among other trips. 

A private funeral will be held. Arrangements have been entrusted to Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana.

She had a happy life with her family and friends. A special thank you to all her loving caregivers.
