Barbara A. (Bortz) Perschke

Barbara A. Perschke, 85, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2023. Barbara was born on May 17, 1938, in La Porte to Ben and Edna (Oman) Bortz.

Barbara was a school teacher at Hailmann Elementary, substitute taught at many schools and had worked at Bortz Farm Store. 

On June 8, 1963, Barbara married Kurt Perschke who survives, with sons, Adam Perschke of La Porte, David Perschke of La Porte; grandchildren, Max and Tom Perschke; and a brother, Robert (Karen) Bortz of La Porte. She was preceded in death by her parents, and sisters, Shirley Bortz and Mary Redamak. 

Arrangements have been entrusted to Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel in La Porte, Indiana. Private family services will be held at a later date.
