Barbara (Kopischke) Kosco

Barbara Kosco, 88, of Fish Lake, Indiana passed away Monday, August 26, 2024.

Barbara was born January 13, 1936 in Chicago, Illinois to Roy and Mary (Corsello) Kopischke.

On August 15, 1970, Barbara married Francis “Frank” Kosco who preceded her in death on March 13, 2018. She was previously married to Martin Kranz who preceded her in death in September of 1967.

Barbara was a homemaker. She loved gardening and feeding the many species of birds. She was an active faithful member of St. Anthony Padua Catholic Church at Fish Lake.

Barbara is survived by her children, Michael Kosco of Indiana, Mark (Mary) Kosco of Illinois, Matthew (Linda) Kosco of Munster, Indiana, Mitchell Kosco of Ft. Myers, Florida, Scott (Krissy) Kosco of La Porte, Indiana, Karen Kranz of Middleton, Wisconsin, Tim (Cindy) Kranz of Blue Springs, Missouri, and Diana (Bert) Lindstrom of Mokena, Illinois; several grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and a sister, Cathy (Michael) Fiorio of Oak Forest, Illinois. Sons, Jim Kranz (2010), Michael Kranz (2015), and a brother, Ray Kopischke preceded her in death.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, La Porte, Indiana.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM Saturday, October 12, 2024 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Fish Lake, Walkerton, Indiana. Reverend Michael G. Heimer will officiate.

Private burial will take place at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in La Porte.
