Obituary

Arlene Rose Solmos, 84, of La Porte, Indiana passed away Friday, February 24, 2023. She was born on August 7, 1938 in Fowler, Indiana to George and Leona Marcella (Etter) Cota. Arlene was a homemaker to her husband and six children.

She was a member of Holy Family Parish, St. Peter Church in La Porte and the Sagamore Parkway Association.

On November 11, 1961, Arlene married Joseph Solmos who survives. She is also survived by her children, Michele (Phillip) Solmos-Zwickl of Boston, Massachusetts, Michael (Ronna) Solmos of Denver, Colorado, Colleen (Jim) Faulkner of Jefferson City, Missouri, Tricia (Bill) Turner of Indianapolis, Indiana, Joele (Richard) Jones of Melbourne, Florida, Kris (Christina) Solmos of Columbus, Ohio; 12 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and siblings, Miriam Thomson, Diane (Tom) Brown, and Tom (Patty) Cota.

Cremation has taken place with Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home Essling Chapel in La Porte, Indiana.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 6500 Technology Center Drive, Suite 100, Indianapolis, Indiana 46278.
