Anita J. (Beausoliel) Schmaltz

Anita J. Schmaltz, 85 of La Porte, Indiana passed away Thursday, July 20, 2023. She was born on December 5, 1937, in South Bend, Indiana to the late Walter and Delta (Winnell) Beausoliel. 

Anita was a homemaker. She had a love of reading with long walks on the Florida coast where they vacationed in the winters. She enjoyed shopping, collecting and decorating her home but most of all being surrounded by her family during celebrations.

On October 29, 1972, Anita married Allen Schmaltz who survives with daughters, Pamela Bush of Texas, Jacqueline (Brian) Richardson of La Porte; grandchildren, Mallorie (Brian) Knapp, Brock (Ashley) Smith, Alicia (Eric) Lacey, Kyle Richardson, Mila Richardson; great grandchildren, Rylee & Maddox Knapp, Harper Smith, and Logan & Brynlee Lacey; and a sister, Marlene Holtzable of Elkhart, Indiana. 

Cremation has taken place. Private burial will be at St. John Lutheran Cemetery. 

Arrangements have been entrusted to Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel in La Porte, Indiana.
