Alfred Harbich Obituary

Alfred Harbich, a loving and faith-filled man, passed away on May 6, 2023, in Chandler, Arizona. Born on December 7, 1972, in Merida, Yucatan, Mexico, Alfred had a rich and diverse upbringing that shaped the incredible person he became.

Alfred was born to proud parents Helmut Alfred Harbich and Irma Victoria (Escalante) Harbich. He was the cherished brother of Erika Luzie (John) Roy and Johann C. (Megumi) Harbich, and a doting uncle to Joseph Sabastian Harbich. Alfred was also a special friend to Carrie Juntilla, who played an important role in his life. As a father, Alfred leaves behind four loving sons, Alexander Thomas Harbich, Andreas Benjamin Harbich, Jakob Alfred Harbich, and Christian Lukas Harbich.

Alfred's unique childhood saw him living in Mexico and Austria before immigrating to the United States with his parents and siblings at the age of 16. They settled in Santa Clarita, California, where Alfred attended Canyon High School, graduating in 1992. He then pursued higher education at the College of the Canyons, earning his Associate in Science degree in Math and Science with an emphasis in computer studies in 1997.

As an adult, Alfred worked in the field of information technology, holding installation and support positions across the country. He lived in La Porte, Indiana, for 14 years before moving back to Santa Clarita, California and, finally, to San Tan Valley, Arizona. Alfred's dedication and passion for his work were evident to all who knew him.

A true sports enthusiast, Alfred enjoyed watching baseball, football, basketball, and hockey. He was particularly passionate about the Dodgers and would proudly tell everyone he met that he bled Dodger blue. His love for sports created many fond memories and lasting friendships.

In February 1997, Alfred was baptized as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. His faith played a significant role in his life, leading to many cherished friendships within his church community. As a son, brother, and father of four, Alfred's family and faith were his greatest treasures, and he will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know and love him.

Alfred Harbich's legacy will live on through the love and memories shared by his family and friends. His faith-filled and loving spirit will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him. Rest in peace, Alfred, knowing that your memory will be forever cherished by those you leave behind.
