Tony E. Wood

Anthony “Tony” E. Wood, 52, of Folsom, California, formerly of La Porte, Indiana passed away unexpectedly Sunday, February 24, 2019.

Tony was born May 29, 1966 in Elkhart, Indiana to Ernest and Sandra (Winningham) Wood.

Tony was a Landscape Architect with Verde Design, Inc. in Santa Clara, California. He coached the Folsom Jr. Bulldogs and La Porte Pop Warner.  Tony graduated from Purdue in 1991 and was a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity.  Tony often said he was a, “husband, father of two, and coach to many.”

On September 27, 1991 Tony married Laura Weliver who survives.

Tony is survived by his wife, Laura; two sons, Alexander Wood of Rapid City, South Dakota and Elijah Wood of Junction City, Kansas; his mother, Sandra Wood of Elkhart, Indiana; and two brothers, Andrew Wood and Anson (Marla) Wood, both of Elkhart, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Monday, March 4, 2019 with a time of sharing at 7:30 p.m. at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana.
