Thomas M. Hootman

Thomas M. Hootman, 91, of La Porte, Indiana passed away Monday, December 24, 2018.  He was born February 3, 1927 in East Lansing, Michigan to Millard and Ruth (Mann) Hootman.  Thomas retired as a Technical Engineer with the Chicago Journeymen Plumbers Local Union 130 UA.  He served his country in the United States Navy during WWII and graduated from La Porte High School in 1945.

On August 10, 1973, Thomas married Sharon Perschke who survives with their children, Mary Ann (Paul) Huber of La Porte, Robert Hootman of Michigan City, Martha Elizabeth Jones of New Carlisle, John (Rebecca) Hootman of La Porte, Sandra Garcia of La Porte, Steven (Suzanne) Hootman of Seattle, Washington, and Kelly (Michael) Breitzka of La Porte; 14 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.  Sisters, Betty Anders and Mary Ann Hootman preceded him in death. 

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Friday, December 28, 2018, at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana, where a Memorial service will begin at 7 p.m.
