Paul G. Maltby

Paul G. Maltby, 82, of La Porte, Indiana passed away Sunday, January 19, 2020.

Paul was born August 10, 1937 in Grand Rapids Michigan to Phillip J. and Gladys R. (Forbush) Maltby.

On September 13, 1956 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Paul married Idalene Jones who preceded him in death on August 30, 2003.

Paul is survived by three daughters, Jackie Louise of Walkerton, Gladys (Sonny Collinge) Vehrs of Steger, Illinois and Jeri Maltby of Steger, Illinois; a son, Michael (Leona) Maltby of Lowell, Indiana; seven grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; a sister, Muriel Peterson of Walkerton, Indiana and a half sister, Karol Hystad of Nevada.  He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and siblings, Lee Allen and Val Jean Maltby.

Paul retired from Illinois Bell after many years.  He was a member of the Son’s of the American Legion, Post 400 Fish Lake. 

Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, January 25, 2020 at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana, where a memorial service will begin at 12:30 p.m.
