Norma Gross Faulstich, 90, of La Porte, Indiana passed away Thursday, May 9, 2019.
Norma was born October 2, 1928 in Michigan City, Indiana to the late Karl and Lena (Heichel) Brinckman.
Norma married John Gross in Michigan City, Indiana, who preceded her in death in 1968. Then, on June 8, 1991 in La Porte, Indiana she married Francis Faulstich who preceded her in death on July 4, 1993.
She was a retired Elementary school teacher for Maple School, Park School, and Lincoln School for the La Porte Community Schools. Norma graduated from Bethel College then completed her master’s degree at Notre Dame. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and served on their Alter Guild. She was a former member of St. John’s Lutheran School Board, Delta Kappa Gamma, Notre Dame Alumni Organization of Michigan City, Indiana, Best Years Rolling Seniors, and the Rolling Prairie Lionettes.
Norma leaves behind two sisters, Carol Allen of La Porte, Indiana and Wanda Black of Palmetto, Florida; an aunt, Mary McConnell of Michigan City; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her two husbands; a daughter, Kathryn Gross; two sisters, Donna Werstler and Phyllis Baker; and a brother, Clifford Baker.
Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Friday, May 17, 2019 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 111 Kingsbury Avenue, La Porte, Indiana. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. in the church. Pastor Ronald Brauer will officiate. Private burial will follow in Pine Lake Cemetery.
