Mary A. (Corty) Wynne

Mary A. Wynne, 81, of Chicago, Illinois, formerly of La Porte passed away Thursday, January 11, 2018.

Mary was born December 28, 1936 in Rolling Prairie, Indiana to Eugene and Mary (Mounce) Corty.

She was a teacher in the Chicago Public Schools.

Mary is survived by a daughter, Barbara (Jack) Katz of Hawthorne Woods, Illinois; two grandchildren, Sarah Katz and Justin Katz; two sisters, Jean Veatch of Valparaiso, Indiana and Barbara Patla of Franklin, Ohio; and a brother, Raymond Corty of Houston, Texas.

Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana 46350.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. following the visitation, at St. John Kanty Catholic Church, 7012 N. 600 E., Rolling Prairie, Indiana 46371. Reverend Michael Heimer will officiate.  Burial will follow in St. John Kanty Cemetery.
