Katherine Heinis Obituary

Katherine I. Heinis, 74, of Kingsford Heights, Indiana passed away Thursday, January 24, 2019.

Katherine was born October 15, 1944 in Chicago, Illinois to Raymond and Irene Kusch.

On June 19, 1965 Katherine married Tom Heinis who survives.

Katherine was a tax preparer for H&R Block.

Katherine is survived by her husband, Tom; a daughter, Terri Cox of Knox, Indiana; two sons,

Tony Heinis and Tim Heinis, both of Kingsford Heights; seven grandchildren, Tyler (Andrea) Heinis, Scotty Lindsey, Kera (Jeremy) Buck, Allisa (Weston) Leffers, Julia Cox, Lydia Cox, and Amelia Cox; five great grandchildren, Croix Leffers, Carter Heinis, Beckem Heinis, Jayden May, and Ethan Buck; and a sister, Mary Ellen Campbell of Chesterton, Indiana.  She was preceded in death by her parents; and a daughter, Tina Lindsey.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Monday, January 28, 2019 at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana. Family and friends may visit one hour prior to the service.
