Jacob William Sharpe, beloved son of David and Kristen, died peacefully on Monday, June 4, 2018 after battling dural sinus thrombosis and arterio-venous fistulas in the brain. Jacob was born on August 25, 2017 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Throughout his 9 months of life, Jacob blessed everyone he met with many wonderful smiles and moments. His parents will deeply treasure their memories of him. His sisters, Lindsey and Katelyn, were wonderful to their little brother and so proud to be his big sisters. They held him, told him stories, prayed for him, and helped him during his therapy sessions. The doctors and nurses at Riley Children’s Hospital were continually amazed with Jacob’s toughness throughout his journey. A countless number of members from the departments of neurology, neurosurgery, hematology, ophthalmology, interventional radiology, and the team of developmental pediatricians have said that Jacob was truly an unforgettable patient and will leave a lasting impression on them. The family would like to thank each of these doctors and the remarkable nurses for their outstanding care of Jacob. He is survived by his grandparents Bill and Kathy Sharpe, Brenda Wedge, Tim Kunigonis, and Doug and Lisa Estridge. Also surviving are aunts and uncles Brian and Rachel Sharpe, Julie and Eric Meyer, Adam Sharpe, Brent Kunigonis, Haley Estridge, Macy Estridge, and Brody Estridge. He also leaves behind his cousins: Maggie, Clara, Isaiah, Lizzie, Natalie, Allie, and William. The family would also like to thank the many wonderful people of La Porte for their great support during Jacob’s numerous trips to Riley Hospital.
