Helen L. (Meyer) Murphy

Helen L. Murphy passed away on Sunday, March 11, 2018, with her family by her side. Helen was born on December 13, 1941, in LaPorte, Indiana, the daughter of Harry and Meredith Meyer. She lived in Madison, Wisconsin for more than 40 years and enjoyed Badger Hockey, gardening, auto racing, visiting zoos, all things Disney, and most of all, spending time with her family.

She is survived by her five children, Greg Holmquest (Tracy), Steve Holmquest (Jill), Micki Meyer (Randy), Gary Holmquest and Brenda Holmquest and 14 grandchildren, Brandon Holmquest, David Meyer (Nikki), Broc Holmquest, Julia Meyer, Dana Meyer, Patrick Richgels, Ryan Kalbfleisch, Emily Holmquest, Ashley Armstrong, Cody Holmquest, James Holmquest, Becky Holmquest, Chris Holmquest, Joe Holmquest ; three great-grandchildren Kaylee, Lucille and Eloise; a sister, Cookie Meyer; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Helen was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Meredith Meyer, her husband, Donald Murphy, a brother, Donald Meyer, and grandson, Garrick Holmquest.

A private burial will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery, Mill Creek, Indiana on Sunday, July 21, 2019.
