Francis “Frank” M. Kosco, 87, of Walkerton, Indiana passed away Tuesday, March 13, 2018. Frank was born June 26, 1930 in Chicago to Andrew and Anna (Szaniszlo) Kosco. He retired from AT&T in March of 1984. He was also employed with the County of La Porte in maintenance and served as a La Porte County Reserve officer for many years.
On August 15, 1970, Frank married Barbara Kopischke who survives along with their children, Michael Kosco of Indiana, Mark (Paula) Kosco of North Aurora, Illinois, Matthew (Linda) Kosco of Munster, Indiana, Mitchell Kosco of Ft. Myers, Florida, Scott (Krissy) Kosco of Munster, Indiana, Karen Kranz of Middletown, Wisconsin, Tim (Cindy) Kranz of Blue Springs, Missouri, Diana (Bert) Lindstrom of Mokena, Illinois; 14 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and a sister, Carol (Robert) Parise of Illinois. Sons, Jim Kranz and Mike Kranz; and a brother, Andrew Kosco all preceded him in death.
Frank was a member of St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church and the men’s club, the Knights of Columbus, St. Michael council #1542 in La Porte, and served his country as a United States Marine.
Visitation will be 10 a.m.-1p.m. Friday, March 16, 2018, at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Friday, March 16, 2018, at St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church in (Fish Lake), Walkerton, Indiana.
