Douglas I. Wiederhold

Douglas I. Wiederhold, 72 of Michigan City, Indiana passed away Monday, June 10, 2019.

Douglas was born July 21, 1946 in Aberdeen, South Dakota to Edward A. and Mardella (Thompson) Wiederhold.

On June 23, 1964 Douglas married Iva Maitlind who survives. 

Also surviving are a daughter, Donna Meyers of Rolling Prairie, Indiana; a son, Rodney (Maria) Wiederhold of Michigan City, Indiana; grandchildren, Joseph Meyers, Brittany Meyers, Taylor Purcell, Brook Wiederhold; great grandchildren, Damon Cook, Ayla Cook, Raynee Purcell, Octavia Purcell, and Ryli Purcell; two sisters, Susan (Ted) Stock of Parkville, Missouri, and Tammy (Eddie) Boone of Valparaiso, Indiana; a brother, Michael Wiederhold of La Porte, Indiana and a step mother Lynn Wiederhold of Michigan City, Indiana.

He was preceded in death by five brothers, Roger Wiederhold, Edward Wiederhold, Sheldon Wiederhold, Russell Wiederhold, and Mark Wiederhold; and a great-grandson, Jacobi Hugley.

Douglas was a welder in the Steel Workers Union at Bethlehem Steel.

A private service will be held at a later date.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana.
