Dorothy F. (Matson) Balletto

Dorothy F. Balletto, 87, of La Porte Indiana passed away Sunday, December 24, 2017. Dorothy was born June 18, 1930, in Chicago, Illinois to Oscar and Ellen (Hyatt) Matson.

Dorothy was married to Joseph McGann who preceded her in death. She then married Paul L. Balletto who also preceded her in death.

Surviving are daughter, Sue Heitz of La Porte, Rita (Larry) Williams of La Porte, and Annette Eiler of La Porte, Indiana; a nephew, Joe (Vicky) Heitz of Blue Island, Illinois; 14 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and one great great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by three sons, John, Richard, and Kevin Heitz; and two brothers.

Dorothy retired in food service from La Porte High School, and had worked in childcare at the YMCA. She was a very giving and caring person. Loved animals and had a great sense of humor.

Cremation has taken place. Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, La Porte is in charge of arrangements.
