Catherine Eleanor (Thompson) Hubner

Mrs. Catherine Eleanor Hubner, 106, of La Porte passed away Sunday, September 16, 2018.  She was born on May 10, 1912 in Chicago, Illinois to Thomas and Lena (Eisenhutt) Thompson.  She had lived here since 1932 coming from Kingsbury, Indiana.  Mrs. Hubner had worked at K.O.P. during the Korean war and for Thanhardt Burger Corporation for 21 years as a mat worker for the custom pictures.

On June 18, 1932 in La Porte Catherine married Carl W. Hubner who preceded her on May 4, 1986. She leaves three daughters, Janis Euler and Judith Kraus of La Porte, and Jill (John) Kennedy of Huntington, Indiana; a son, Carl Lynn Hubner; 10 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and 17 great great-grandchildren.  She was preceded by her parents; husband; brothers, Dan, Bill and Kenneth Thompson; and sisters, Maryann Peeples, Lillian Druckten, Ruth Minich and Jeanette Craft. 

Catherine was a member of St. John Lutheran Church and Circle 8 of the church. 

Visitation will be 4-6 p.m. Thursday, September 20, 2018 at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana.  Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, September 21, 2018 in the funeral home where family and friends may visit one hour prior to the services. Reverend Ron A. Brauer will officiate. Burial will follow in Patton Cemetery.
