Carma Jean (Mrozinski) Burns

Carma Jean Burns, 77, of Troup, Texas, formerly of La Porte, Indiana passed away Sunday, November 5, 2017 in Texas. Carma was born July 2, 1940 in La Porte to Floyd and Iva Mrozinski Sr.

On February 20, 1971, in Kingsford Heights, Indiana, Carma married Donald W. Burns who preceded her in death on July 23, 2013. She retired from Red Lobster with over 20 years of service.  She was a member of the F.O.E. #2339, and was active in the La Porte community. She loved spending time with family, especially her granddaughters and her dog Molly. 

Surviving is a son, Rodney (Sandy) Burns of Troup, Texas; grandchildren, Savannah and Stephanie Burns; brothers, Bob Mrozinski of La Porte, Jim (Kathy) Mrozinski of Appleton, Wisconsin, and sister-in-law Diana Mrozinski of LaPorte.  She was preceded in death by siblings Floyd Mrozinski and Rose Orman. 

Visitation is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, November 11, 2017, at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana.  A celebration of life will be at 1 p.m. following the visitation.  Burial will be in Pine Lake Cemetery.
