Beulah Pych, 97, of La Porte, Indiana, passed away Sunday, September 23, 2018.
Beulah was born April 18, 1921, in New Rome, Wisconsin to the late Darrell and Clara (Fairbert) Overturf.
On September 13, 1947 in Chicago, Beulah married Theodore F. Pych, who preceded her on October 21, 1971.
Beulah was a home maker and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in La Porte. Her focus in life was service to others having been the caregiver in her early days to mothers and their children in Chicago and for her husband during his battle with cancer and her son, James after a tragic accident that resulted in him being a paraplegic. She dearly loved her children and grandchildren.
Beulah is survived by a daughter, Janet (Vince) Schultz of La Porte, Indiana; three sons, Theodore A. Pych, Michael (Christine Snyder) Pych, and James Pych all of La Porte, Indiana; four grandchildren, Traci (John) Savio, Renee Brainerd, Erica (Philip) Kurien, and Lindsey (Amar) Pych; seven great grandchildren; and a brother, Harvey Overturf of Eagle River, Wisconsin.
She was preceded in death by sisters, Irene Smazal and June Scianna; and brothers, Kenneth, Wayne and Darrell Overturf.
Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m., Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 28, 2018, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 109 C Street, La Porte, Indiana 46350. Family and friends my gather at 9 a.m. Friday in the funeral home. Reverend William O’Toole will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
