Annette (Bizowski) Lashinis

Annette Lashinis, 100 of La Porte, Indiana passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2019.

Annette was born August 25, 1918 in Poland to Antonin and Frantiska (Hejny) Bizowski.  Her birth name was Antonina Bizovska.

On August 28, 1937 in La Porte, Indiana Annette married Casimer Szynal who preceded her in death on February 2, 1944.  On October 21, 1950 Annette married James Lashinis who preceded her in death on January 10, 1993.

Annette worked at Indiana Molding as a molding finisher and worked at American Home Foods.  She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, The Polish Falcons Nest #564, and the PNA (Polish National Alliance).

Annette is survived by three daughters, Carol Spaeth of La Porte, Indiana, Dorothy (Walter) Hekter of Constantine, Michigan, and Teresa (Dave) Avery of Denver, Colorado; five grandchildren, Susan Blankenship, Walter Hekter Jr., Paige Bernacchi, Colin Avery, and Morgan Avery; six great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; a daughter, Patricia Geisler; two sons-in-law, Tom Spaeth and Robert Geisler; a sister, Anna Kalivoda; and two brothers, Vaclav and Antonin Bizowski.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Sunday, February 24, 2019 at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana 46350. A Parish Rosary will be recited at 4 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday, February 25, 2019 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.  Family and friends may call one hour prior at 9 a.m. Monday in the funeral home. Reverend Ian Williams will officiate.  Burial will follow in Pine Lake Cemetery.
