Casimir John Baczkiewicz, Jr, 64, of La Porrte, Indiana passed away Monday, April 15, 2024 at Community South Hospital in Indianapolis due to complications of pneumonia.

Cas was born on February 9, 1960 to Casimir and Irene (Ziarnek) Baczkiewicz. Cas was the most kind-hearted, brilliantly artistic, and quick-witted son, brother, uncle, and father.

Cas is survived by his stepson, Steven Hyde of Killeen, Texas; sisters, Cindy Dye of Dallas Fort Worth, Texas, Judy (Jim) Kmiec of La Porte, Indiana, Susan (Bill) Kunisch of Prescott Valley, Arizona, and Trish (Chris) Kosakowski of Michigan City, Indiana. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Cas was preceded in death by his parents, and second wife, Susan Burkett.

Cas was a proud La Porte High School Slicer (#58) and went on to proudly serve our country in the U.S. Army. Cas was truly a great man whose impact will be forever felt and missed by his friends and family.

Private burial will take place at Pine Lake Cemetery with Military Honors.
