Rudolf Fritz Schloesser

Rudolf Fritz Schloesser, 83 of La Porte, Indiana passed away February 26, 2015.

Mr. Rudolf Schloesser was born March 28, 1931, in Ostrum, Germany to Hans Emil Robert Schloesser and Frieda Alma Lina Augusta Andreas. He married Hildegard Muller in August 20, 1955. 

Rudolf is survived by two daughters, Regina (Tom) Belzowski of LaPorte, Indiana and Christine Schloesser of LaPorte, Indiana; a son Martin (Gayle) Schloesser of LaPorte, Indiana; grandchildren, Quinlynn and Adam Schloesser, Keith (Holly) Belzowski; great grandchildren, Jude, Jonah, and Rachel; a nephew Jens Peinemann and a niece, Katrin Wenebach.

Rudolf also leaves behind a sister; Erika Edith Helena Peinemann (Robert) of Hildesheim, Germany.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife, his sister Ruth Schloesser, and his grandson Ronald Barker III.

Rudolf loved America but he was still German at heart. He was a member of the Bethany Lutheran Church, the German D.A.N.K. Club of South Bend, Indiana, LaPorte Neighborhood Watch Association, and the International Association of Machinist Union.

Visitation will be from 3-5:30 p.m. Monday March 2, 2015, Essling Funeral Home, Frank L. Keszei, Funeral Director, 1117 Indiana Avenue LaPorte, Indiana.  Funeral services will be at 5:30 p.m. following the visitation in the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Bethany Lutheran Church.
