Marjory L. (Wakeman) Elliott

Marjory L. Elliott, 82, of Kingsbury, Indiana passed away Friday, July 10, 2015 at Carol’s Home Adult Foster Care in New Buffalo, Michigan.

Marjory was born April 17, 1933 in Union Mills, Indiana to Dale Sr. and Mary (Rickard) Wakeman.

On September 2, 1951, in Kingsbury, Indiana she married Laddie L. Elliott who preceded her in death on August 14, 2012.

She was a Secretary at KOP, teacher’s aid at Kingsbury Elementary School, a home child care provider, and she also enjoyed sewing.

Marjory is survived by her three daughters, Jennifer (Jack) Dillard of Kingsbury Indiana, Carolyn Todd of Ft. Myers, Florida, and Nanette (Dennis) Kamp of Rochester, Indiana; seven grandchildren, Casey and Cole Woods, Kyle Dillard, Ryan Ledgerwood, Gregory Elliott, Austin and Ashley Candler; seven great grandchildren, Hayden, Landon, Camdon, Willow, Tinley, Remi, and Savannah.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Laddie; a son, Gregory Elliott, a grandson, Adam Candler; two sisters, Muriel Haverstock and Bernadine Pallato; one brother, Dale Wakeman and her step father, Walter Casey who raised her. 

Marjory was a member of Tracy United Methodist Church.

Everyone is welcome to attend a graveside services that will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 14, 2015, Kingsbury Cemetery.  Essling Funeral Home-Frank L. Keszei Funeral Director, 1117 Indiana Ave, LaPorte, Indiana is in charge of arrangements.
