Marjorie D. (Stanton) Wojcik

Marjorie D. Wojcik, 96 of La Porte, Indiana passed away Monday, May 02, 2016.

Marjorie was born July 16, 1919 in Valparaiso, Indiana to George and Shirley (Hermance) Stanton.  She retired in 1980 as a cashier from Five Star Grocery Store.  On July 16, 1949 in Crown Point, Indiana Marjorie married Marion A. Wojcik who preceded her in death on November 21, 1988.  She was also preceded in death by a sister, Lorraine Whitledge and brothers, Ken and Morrie Stanton.

Marjorie leaves behind a daughter, JoAnn (Gary) Gedman of La Porte, Indiana; sons, James A. (Cindy) Wojcik of Ironwood, Michigan and Michael A. (Nancy) Wojcik of Marshall, Michigan, seven grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.  

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2015 in the Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, ESSLING CHAPEL, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 5, 2016 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in La Porte.  Burial will follow in Patton Cemetery.  Family and friends may gather at 9 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
