Marilynn J. (Denholn) Thode

Marilynn J. Thode, 85, of La Porte, Indiana passed away on October 17, 2016.  She was born September 1, 1931 to Robert and Violet (Lincoln) Denholn.  Marilynn retired from Howmet as a Quality Engineer.  She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in La Porte where she was a Eucharistic Minister, a member of the Rosary Sodality, St. Joseph Senior Citizen Group, St. Margaret Circle, and taught C.C.D.  She had also belonged to the V.F.W. Auxiliary and was formerly in bowling leagues.

On January 5, 1957, Marilynn married Arthur Thode who preceded her in death on May 31, 1980.   Marilynn leaves behind a daughter, Sandra Crossen of Jacksonville, Florida; sons, John and Michael Thode of La Porte, Thomas Thode of Rolling Prairie; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.  Marilynn was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, James Thode, and a sister, Betty Lange.  

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, ESSLING CHAPEL, 1117 Indiana Avenue, where a Parish Rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m.  A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in La Porte, with Reverend Ian J. Williams officiating.  Burial will follow in Pine Lake Cemetery.
