Lina R. (Rowzee) Sartor

Lina R. Sartor, 98 years of age, passed away Saturday, November 21, 2015, at her daughter's home in LaPorte, Indiana. She was born in Decatur, Mississippi, on February 19, 1917, to Samuel Joseph and Annie Brewer Rowzee. She was a graduate of East Central Junior College and Mississippi Southern University. She taught high school English for many years. In 1972, she began working with the Mississippi Education Association and retired in 1982. She was a member of MEA, National Education Association, Department of Classroom Teachers, and Delta Kappa Gamma Society. 

She was a member of Pachuta United Methodist Church, Pachuta, Mississippi.

In 1942, she married Havis H. Sartor who died in 1970. 

Lina is survived by two daughters Elizabeth Ann Ketz (Rusty) of Dallas, Texas, and Evelyn O'Dell (Ed) of LaPorte, Indiana; a grandson Mark O'Dell of Chicago, Illinois. Her parents, sisters Rosa Frances Pettey and Emma Addy, as well as her brothers Samuel Rowzee and Harold Rowzee preceded her in death. 

Wright's Funeral Home, Quitman, Mississippi, is handling arrangements. 

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 25, 2015, 10:30, at Orange Cemetery. 

Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 24, 2015, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, at Wright's Funeral Home, Quitman, Mississippi.
