Kenneth L. Kramer

Kenneth L. Kramer 83 of La Porte, Indiana passed away Saturday, April 18, 2015.

Kenneth was born January 15, 1932 in La Porte, to Leo and Isabelle (Eckstein) Kramer.  He retired from the La Porte Foundry after 33 years; had also worked at Roll Coater; and was a self-employed farmer.  Kenneth served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. 

On May 31, 1952 in La Porte Kenneth married Connie Aumsbaugh who survives. 

Kenneth leaves behind his wife Connie, whom he was married to for 62 years; a son, Bruce (Joan) Kramer of La Porte; two grandsons, Corey (Amanda) Kramer and Adam (Abbie) Kramer; a great grandchild, Mackenzie Kramer; sisters, Loretta Rudolph of La Porte, Marie Kramer of La Porte, Karen Wojasinski of Michigan City; and a brother, Allen Kramer of La Porte. 

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 21, 2015, Essling Funeral Home, Frank L. Keszei Funeral Director, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana, where a Parish Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 22, 2015, St. Joseph Catholic Church in La Porte.  Family and friends may gather at 9 a.m. Wednesday in the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Carmel Cemetery, La Porte with military honors.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
