Josephine T. (Cholewa) Moryl

Josephine T. Moryl, 96, of La Porte, Indiana passed away Sunday, January 21, 2018.  She was born October 18, 1921, in Lackawana, New York to Simon and Apelonia (Was) Cholewa.  Josephine was employed by K.O.P. and then Austenal, (now Alcoa Howmet) both in La Porte. 

On May 4, 1946 in La Porte, she married Stanley E. Moryl who preceded her in death on November 15, 1979. She was also preceded by sisters, Anna Maselbas, Mary Cholewa; and three brothers, Joseph, John, and Frank Cholewa.

Surviving is her son, Michael Moryl of Valparaiso, Indiana; brother-in-law, Alfred Maselbas of La Porte; and several nieces and nephews.

Josephine was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church where she was very active in her younger days and a former choir member.

A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, January 25, 2018, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 201 Bach Street, La Porte, Indiana.  Family and friends may visit from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. prior to the Mass, Thursday at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, Essling Chapel, 1117 Indiana Avenue, La Porte, Indiana. 

Burial will be in Pine Lake Cemetery.
