John S. Geraghty

John S. Geraghty, 86, of Plymouth, Indiana passed away March 20, 2015.  John was born on June 21, 1928, in Fargo, North, Dakota to the late Thomas and Therese (Stowe) Geraghty.

On December 23, 1972, John married Laverna Mundy in Plymouth, Indiana.  

John is survived by his children, Steve (Connie) Geraghty of Mishawaka, Indiana, Kevin (Christine) Geraghty of Arlington Heights, Illinois, Susan (Tom) Frisz of South Bend, Indiana, David (Ruth) Geraghty of South Bend, Indiana, and Margaret (David) Elkins of Bloomington, Indiana; step children, Lynn (Jeff) Annis of Mishawaka, Indiana, Debbie (Bob) Wise of Plymouth, Indiana, Brian (Karen) Mundy of Leesburg, Florida, Cathy (Johnny) Catoe of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina; 19 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.  John was preceded in death by his wife, Laverna on April 19, 2015; a son, John Geraghty; a grandson, David T. Frisz; sisters, Ellen Nelson, Colleen Tonge; and brothers, Thomas Jr., Clyde, and Richard Geraghty.

John was a 1947 graduate of James Whitcomb Riley High School.  He served as a Sergeant in Europe with the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.   John was a salesman with Stanz Foodservice retiring in 1993.

Family and friends are welcome to attend a graveside service at 10 a.m., Saturday, June 20, 2015, at St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger, Indiana.
