John Franklin Foss

John Franklin Foss, 84, of LaPorte, Indiana passed away Saturday November 14, 2015.  John was born April 10,1931 in Michigan City, Indiana to Lydia (Peterson) and Paul J. Foss.

John was a Material Handler with Joy Manufacturing in Michigan City for 33 years.

On October 10,1966 in Chicago, John married Sula East Zoppe who survives.  Also surviving are his children, Laura Foss Wozniak of Michigan City, Indiana, Steven Foss; a step daughter, Franchesca Zoppe Walker of Thousand Oaks, California, a step son, Brian F. Zoppe of Pasadena, Texas; five grandchildren; sisters, Virginia Houghton of Michigan City, Indiana, and Louise Wiora of Michigan City, Indiana; three nephews and a niece.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Paul Foss, Jr. 

John was a member of St. Paul Episcopal Church in LaPorte, Indiana.  He served his country in the Army during the Korean War and was a lifetime member of the VFW Post #2536, Michigan City, Indiana.  

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, November 17, 2015, Greenwood Cemetery, Michigan City, Indiana.
