John Morgan Anderson

Mr. John Morgan Anderson, 77, of LaPorte, Indiana passed away November 23, 2014.

John was born February 2, 1937, in Shelby Gap, Kentucky to Eddie and Ellen (Lester) Anderson.  He was a former service manager for Beiker Chrysler in Hammond, Indiana, and a veteran of the United States Navy.

John is survived by a daughter Maria (David) Wathen of LaPorte, Indiana; a son John Dennis (Sherry) Anderson of North Little Rock, Arkansas; grandchildren Mike Hackett, Stephen and Nick Schultz; Laura and Casey Wathen, Mindy Anderson, Amanda Danielle Schmehl, Chris Cruz, Michael Thill & Tonya Spinks; many great grandchildren; and sisters and brothers, Gene, Moscoe, Ravin, Thomas, Clinton, David, James, Anthony, and Troy Anderson, Mary Greene, Clara Meade and Glema Evans.

John was preceded by his parents; his first wife, Janet Sue Williams; his second wife, Brenda Power; and a daughter, Karen Anderson.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Saturday, November 29, 2014, Essling Funeral Home, 1117 Indiana Avenue, LaPorte, Indiana.  Burial will follow in Anderson Branch, Kentucky at a later date.
