Welcome to the memorial page for

Irene "Renie" (Cichosz) Faltynski

January 20, 1941 ~ July 23, 2016 (age 75) 75 Years Old

On July 23, 2016, at 8:52 PM, Irene A. "Renie" Cichosz Faltynski passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family, finally set free from the grips of PSP, Progressive Supranuclear Palsy.

Renie was born in Praszka, Poland, on January 20, 1941 to her parents, Anthony and Josephine (Kaczmarzyk) Cichosz, and then came to America at the age of ten in 1951 where she met and married her high school sweetheart, Walter G. Faltynski. Together they raised five wonderful children; Jeff (Andrea) Faltynski, Jenny (Scott) Franko, Jill (Jim) Keszei, Julie (Chris) Clarke, and Jodie (Ryan) Walters.

Renie is survived by her children and grandchildren; Danielle, Abbigail and Jay Franko, Drew and Conrad Keszei, Ryan and Kyle Faltynski, Ellie, Josie and Codey Clarke, and little Olivia Walters. Also surviving is her sister, Helen Marciszonek, brother-in-law Rich (Beverly) Faltynski, and many nieces and cousins.

Renie enjoyed a long career with the Kroger organization where she met and served her customers with joy and worked with peers that remain her close friends. She loved to cook and bake and was always prepared to entertain anybody that came through the doors of her home with a homemade meal and an assortment of desserts. The family looked forward to her polish cooking on Sundays when they gathered together for dinner. It became a special time of tradition and a time that the entire family truly enjoyed being together with Renie. She loved working in her yard and garden. Making them beautiful was hard work but something she truly enjoyed.

What mattered most to Renie was her family.  She will always be loved and missed as a mother, daughter and friend to all whose lives she touched. Now she is reunited with her husband in heaven.
