Geno E. Ford

Eugene “Geno” E. Ford, 76, of LaPorte, Indiana passed away Thursday, February 11, 2016.  He was born June 16, 1939 in Zion, North Dakota to Dorotha Marie Agnus Juderjohn and Earl M. Ford.    

Gene leaves behind his wife of 30 years and the mother of his children, Judith Ford; three daughters; Theresa Ford, Sheri (Rick) Wagner, and Gena (Christine Dearing) Steigely, all of LaPorte, Indiana, ten grandchildren; Brandon Kuta, Brittney and Noah Herrbach, Nick and Autumn Wagner, Kelly and Blake Boardman, Travis and Sarah Wagner, Kortney and Dustin Smith, Matthew and Bianca Steigely, Lillian Steigely, Morgan and Eric Dearing, 16 great-grandchildren; Distny Green, Shaddix Ledgerwood, Jade Cardinale, Ian Wagner, Aubrey Wagner, Demi Wagner, Harper Wagner, Camden Campos, Liam Boardman, Wyatt Boardman, Wesley Wagner, Wade Wagner, Shyann  Wagner, Braxton Smith and Alaska Steigely; one brother, Jerry (Carol) Ford; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Kelly Ford; one great-grandson, Wyatt Herrbach; three sisters, Gale, Judi, and Nola; and two brothers, Pete and Dickie.

Gene was a professional painter.  He loved to fish and travel to Florida during the winter.

Family and friends may visit Monday, February 15, 2016 from 3-7p.m. at Frank L. Keszei Funeral Home, ESSLING CHAPEL, 1117 Indiana Avenue, LaPorte, Indiana.
